Is there a waiting list to become a resident?
Depending on the type of service package you need, there may be a waiting list. Additionally, if you want a specific suite style but there isn’t one available at that time, you can choose to go on a waiting list or consider taking a different suite type and moving afterwards when your preference becomes available. Circumstances vary, so it’s best to check with the Community Relations Manager at The Vineyards Residence. Please note that funded long-term care beds at the residence do have a substantial waitlist and that BC Interior Health handles applications.
Are there any age restrictions for residency?
No, but the care and support services provided at The Vineyards Residence generally mean that people who move in are 75 years of age or older. There are exceptions if a younger person has significant physical or memory limitations.
